A New Member of The Family

I have a teenage sister named Lindsey who has been obsessed with pets especially puppies ever since she was a little girl. She has been pestering mum to get her a pet puppy for several years now but to no avail. The reason was mum didn’t fancy taking care of dogs or pets for that matter i.e feeding it, bathing it or taking it for walks. However, mum has had a changed of heart and agreed to get Lindsey a puppy after she promised to be responsible for her own pet.

So, we headed to a pet store named “The Pet World” where they had a wide selection of puppies for sale. Some of the types of puppies displayed in the shop included Silky Terriers, Cocker Spaniels, Dalmatians, the Chinese Shih-Tzu, Golden Retrievers and many others. There was also a mini section in the shop which gave away free puppies. These puppies were actually strayed ones which would be transferred to the welfare centre if no one takes it after a certain period of time. Anyway, sis went round the shop several times before deciding on a brown female Cocker Spaniel. Besides the pet, mum had to pay for the food and other essential accessories such as the dog collar and a dog mat. The total came up to approximately $150.

Lindsey named her pet Phoebe after one of her favourite TV show character. Fortunately for us, Phoebe was reasonably obedient and rarely caused any mess around the house. As of today, we are actually glad to have this new addition to our family.
